ΟΙ ΜΑΓΙΚΟΙ 12 ΜΗΝΕΣ ΤΟΥ ΕΤΟΥΣ Μεγάλο ρολό έπαιζαν στην Μαγεία και οι μήνες του έτους. Κάθε μήνας έχει και μια διαφορετική ιστορία ας την δούμε παρακάτω. Ιανουάριος: Πήρε το όνομά του από το θεό των Ρωμαίων, τον Ιανό. Φεβρουάριος: Ήταν αφιερωμένος στο θεό του Άδη και στους νεκρούς. Μάρτιος: Ο τρίτος μήνας του χρόνου, αφιερωμένος στον Άρη θεό του πολέμου. Απρίλιος: Το όνομά του προέρχεται από το ρήμα aperio που σημαίνει «ανοίγω», γιατί τότε ανοίγει ο καιρός και ανθίζουν τα λουλούδια. Ήταν αφιερωμένος στη θεά Αφροδίτη. Μάιος: Πήρε το όνομά του από τη λέξη Μαία, τη μητέρα του θεού Ερμή, στον οποίο ήταν αφιερωμένος. Ιούνιος: Ηταν αφιερωμένος στη θεά Ήρα σύζυγο του Δία προστάτιδα του οίκου και του γάμου. Ιούλιος: Ο έβδομος μήνας του έτους έχει 31 ημέρες και είναι αφιερωμένος στον Ιούλιο Καίσαρα. Αύγουστος: Ο Αύγουστος οφείλει το όνομά του στον αυτοκράτορα Οκταβιανό Αύγουστο, που σημαίνει σεβαστός. Σεπτέμβριος: Ο Σεπτέμβριος κατείχε την έβδομη θέση στη σειρά των μηνών, όπως δείχνει και το όνομά του, καθώς septem στα λατινικά σημαίνει επτά. Οκτώβριος: Ηταν ο όγδοος μήνας, με την αλλαγή του ημερολογίου, έγινε ο δέκατος μήνας αλλά κράτησε το όνομά του. Νοέμβριος: Κατά το παλαιό ημερολόγιο ήταν ο ένατος μήνας γι’ αυτό και το όνομά του προέρχεται από τον αριθμό εννέα που στα λατινικά είναι novem. Δεκέμβριος: Ο πρώτος του χειμώνα, ο δέκατος του παλιού ημερολογίου, από όπου πήρε και το όνομά του. Decem στα λατινικά είναι το δέκα. THE MAGICAL 12 MONTHS OF THE YEAR The months of the year also played a big role in Magic. Each month has a different story, let's see it below. January: Named after the Roman god Janus. February: It was dedicated to the god of Hades and the dead. March: The third month of the year, dedicated to Mars god of war. April: Its name comes from the verb aperio which means "to open", because then the weather opens and the flowers bloom. It was dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite. May: It got its name from the word Maia, the mother of the god Mercury, to whom it was dedicated. June: It was dedicated to the goddess Hera, wife of Zeus, protector of the home and marriage. July: The seventh month of the year has 31 days and is dedicated to Julius Caesar. Augustus: Augustus owes its name to the emperor Octavian Augustus, meaning respected. September: September occupied the seventh place in the series of months, as its name indicates, as septem in Latin means seven. October: It was the eighth month, with the change of the calendar, it became the tenth month but kept its name. November: According to the old calendar it was the ninth month and therefore its name comes from the number nine which in Latin is novem. December: The first of winter, the tenth of the old calendar, from where it got its name. Decem in Latin is ten.
