Ο ΘΗΣΕΑΣ Η ΑΡΙΑΔΝΗ ΚΑΙ Ο ΜΙΝΩΤΑΥΡΟΣ Ο Θησέας γιος του Αιγαία, του βασιλιά των Αθηνών, αποφάσισε να πάει μαζί με τους νέους και τις νέες που θα θυσιαζόταν στην Κρήτη. Ο Θησέας σκότωσε το Μινώταυρο, αν και αμφισβητείται αν τον σκότωσε με τα χέρια ή με ένα ξίφος που του έδωσε η Αριάδνη. Έπειτα χρησιμοποίησε το σπάγκο για να βρει το δρόμο της επιστροφής προς την είσοδο του λαβυρίνθου. Ο Θησέας και η Αριάδνη απεδρασαν από την Κρήτη, αλλά στο δρόμο για την Αθήνα ο Θησέας εγκατέλειψε την Αριάδνη σε ένα νησί. Ο θεός Διόνυσος την παντρεύτηκε αμέσως μετά την εγκατάλειψή της από το Θησέα. THESEUS, ARIADNE AND THE MINOTAUR Theseus, the son of Aegeus, the king of Athens, decided to go with the young men and women who would be sacrificed in Crete. He gave him a string to tie to the door of the labyrinth and untangle him until he reached the place where the Minotaur slept. He then used the string to find his way back to the entrance of the maze. Theseus and Ariadne escaped from Crete, but on the way to Athens, Theseus abandoned Ariadne on an island. The god Dionysus married her immediately after she was abandoned by Theseus.
